Nachappa C K,

Your reply does not answer my two questions at all!! Your first link you provided is how to rollback to a previous version of Windows, which is not what I asked! Your second link contains nothing on how to restore a crashed PC using Windows Backup & Restore (Windows 7)

Please re-read my post carefully! My post and two questions are very specific to and relate to Windows Backup and Restore (Windows 7):

Two questions, How do I a full restore, say if my system crashes completely, using Backup and Restore (Windows 7) on my Windows 10 computer from backups created using this specfic utility? And is there an option to completely restore from Backup and Restore (Windows 7) from a restore disk created, either a CD or Flash drive restore disk?

Thank you and I look forward to a reply asap!

I would suggest you to refer the section 'Use a recovery drive to restore or reset your PC' from the below link to know how to restore or reset the PC if it won't start.

Thank You.

Still didn't answer the question. Maybe a rephrasing will help.

Does Windows 10 come with a backup program with a name or title that doesn't include the words 'Windows 7'?

if no, does the backup program with 'Windows 7' in its name work in and for Windows 10

and

if yes, what is it called?

Yes, Windows 10 comes with a backup program called 'Windows Backup & Restore (Windows 7)' That is the exact name listed in the Control Panel in Windows 10.

I use this and Microsoft still has not answered my question! All they do is refer me to links that do not mention that exact name in the Control Panel. My question is very specific and all I need is a written reply , not useless links hat do not mention restoring with this exact utily, that explain how to restore with THIS utility!

I don't know if the Windows 10's backup and restore feature will work but you can try it. I know it worked in Windows 7 but cannot verify if it works in Windows 10 because I still have my Windows 7 backup stored on my external hard drive which I do not want to lose as trying to create a windows 10 backup on the same hard drive resulted in a warning that I may lose my windows 7 backup if I proceed. For that reason, I use a program called Paragon Backup and Recovery 14 which allows me to have as many backups as my hard drive can hold. I have three total back ups The Windows 7 backup created in Windows 7 with it's backup and recovery tool, a backup of Windows 8.1 pro, and a backup of Windows 10 Pro version 1511 build 10586 using paragon backup and recovery. It will do a full restore if for whatever reason you cannot get back into Windows 10. I hope this helps.

Did anyone have success in restoring on Windows10?

I ask, as I'm also having issues, but at that point.

I ran the Windows 7 backup and restore component in the control panel, yet when picking the network location, it mentions it can't find any backup sets'.

Windows was not able to find any backup sets on ‪lssharefullpath here

Windows 7 Backup Space

I've also tried different levels of the path too and no go. They are visible if I get to them with WinExplorer just fine.

I have no issues with restoring from a backup I create with Paragon Backup and Recovery on Windows 10. I do not use the Windows 10 backup and restore component.

That's not what the OP or myself is using though, lol.

Obviously we're mentioning with the built in restore option.

Just imagine yourself in our shoes. you've made a Win10 backup with the 'Win7 backup and restore' feature. Now you're trying to restore. A proprietary 3rd party, like the one you've mentioned twice now, using a different file format isn't going to help us at all, unless it can read from the win7 style of backup file?
